“Apps” on a “Phone” are going to become a very ’legacy’ concept soon. The idea of UI gen on the fly based on requirements and an open-agentic platform that drives the flow of “work” (work in quotes because it can be actual official work, or your personal work, or anything you want to do interacting with the web-of-agents (called it, coined it, copyrighted, fuck you all :D)) is going to be the next thing. I don’t even know if Gen UI will be needed anyway. Maybe voice is enough. But, no… UI will be needed. Humans are visual creatures and in fact, some commands are best given through visual interactions than verbal communique. So yeah, maybe Gen-UI will be a mode of communication. But static apps ? I mean, in 2018, I had worked hard on building an app for the Land Department of Ajman that is completely dynamic.
